October will be a busy month for gigBench.
As we continue growing the platform and expanding the gigBench community, getting out into the industry remains an important part of what we are building. Conferences give us an opportunity to spend time with architecture, engineering, construction, and specialty professionals, hear what firms are experiencing firsthand, and have conversations about how the way AEC teams work is continuing to change.
This month, gigBench will be represented at several industry events, with confirmed appearances spanning data centers and mission-critical infrastructure, broader AEC innovation, and building enclosure expertise.
Here is where you can find us.
7×24 Exchange Northeast Regional Conference

| October 6-7 | Atlantic City, New Jersey | gigBench is sponsoring |
We are kicking off October at the 7×24 Exchange Northeast Regional Conference, where gigBench will be participating as a sponsor.
The data center and mission-critical infrastructure sectors are particularly relevant to the gigBench community. These projects frequently require highly specialized expertise, flexible access to experienced professionals, and the ability to respond quickly as workload and project demands change.
Those are exactly the kinds of challenges gigBench was built to help address.
The conference will give us an opportunity to connect directly with professionals working throughout the mission-critical ecosystem and learn more about the talent, staffing, and project-delivery challenges firms are navigating.
If you are attending 7×24 Exchange Northeast, we would love to connect and talk about what you are seeing in the industry.
The AEC Summit with KP Reddy

| October 19 | Attending |
On October 19, Brian will be attending The AEC Summit with KP Reddy.
The event offers a broader opportunity to engage with conversations about where the architecture, engineering, and construction industry is heading.
For gigBench, those conversations are especially important.
The way firms build their teams is changing. The way experienced professionals think about their careers is changing too. Technology is creating new ways to connect talent and opportunity, but technology alone is not the answer. The relationships, expertise, trust, and understanding behind those connections still matter.
gigBench was created specifically for the AEC industry, connecting firms with qualified, discipline-specific professionals while giving experienced specialists another way to find meaningful project-based work.
Events like The AEC Summit give us another chance to listen to the people experiencing these changes firsthand and bring those insights back into the platform we are building.
IIBEC NY Fall Symposium

| October 29 | Sponsoring |
We will close out the month at the IIBEC NY Fall Symposium, where gigBench will once again be participating as a sponsor.
gigBench will have a tabletop presence at the event, giving attendees an opportunity to meet the team and learn more about the platform.
Building enclosure expertise is a strong example of why a network like gigBench can be valuable. Firms do not always need another full-time hire. Sometimes they need access to a specific professional, with specific experience, for a specific project or period of increased demand.
gigBench is designed to help firms access specialized expertise without over-hiring, while helping experienced AEC professionals find opportunities that align with their discipline, experience, and availability.
We are looking forward to conversations with IIBEC members and other professionals working throughout the building enclosure community.
Why getting out into the industry matters
gigBench is a technology platform, but what we are building is fundamentally about people.
The strongest version of gigBench cannot be built only by looking at data, developing features, or making assumptions about what the industry needs. We also need to spend time with the firms and professionals the platform is intended to serve.
Industry events help us do that.
They give us an opportunity to hear directly about where firms are struggling to find capacity, which types of expertise are increasingly difficult to source, how professionals want to work, and what needs to change to make flexible AEC work more effective for everyone involved.
Those conversations influence how we think about the platform, the resources we create, and the community we are working to build.
They also give us an opportunity to introduce more people to a different way of thinking about AEC staffing.
gigBench was created to help firms bring in talent when workload increases, specialized expertise is required, or another full-time hire does not make sense. For professionals, it creates another way to put their experience to work on projects that fit their expertise, schedule, and goals.
